Districts

Thursday, the AAA Commonwealth District Championships were held at Willowmere Park in Stafford. Five of the top ten teams in VA were vying for four slots to advance to Regionals. AHS was picked to finish fifth, but put together a great effort and finished third. Ryan placed 15th, earning All-District honors, with a 17:13.6. He was the #3 AHS runner to cross the finish line. Next up is Regionals, next Thursday at Panorama Farms.
The past two weeks, with most runners off and preparing for the championship season, Ryan maintained his #7 slot in the Ragged Mountain Poll.

10/14 Ragged Mountain Poll

Today, Ryan has the distinct honor of making the Poll twice, at #7 and at #13. Don't ask me how. His results from the AHS Invite are what landed him in the top 10, although they list his school as Woodberry Forest. His #13 ranking has him at AHS, but time listed is for the VMI meet. Anyway, congrats to Ryan. He is off from competition until the District meet at Willowmere Oct. 28.
