The Greene County Track Club will take the 2011 season off. With the much anticipated renovation to the WMHS track, (and work at AHS & UVA tracks), there is no place to practice. The WMMS track team will also take the year off, and the WMHS varsity team, according to rumors, will be practicing in a parking lot.
Please continue to run and enjoy the sport, and we will see you in 2012.

Commonwealth District Championships
District Championships were held Feb. 7th at Colonial Forge High School.
Camron participated in two jump events, getting 15th in the Long Jump (16-3) and 8th in the Triple (35-11). I know Cam is disappointed, but his efforts in the pits are excellent for a freshman. Keep the faith, we know you will do better in Outdoor!
Ryan ran the 1600 & the 1000 within 30 minutes. His first race, the 1600, he took third with a PR of 4:26.97, knocking over 8 seconds off his previous best. He followed that with a 2:42.83 1000m, and finished 4th. Ryan will move on to the Northwest Regionals next week.
Congrats to both young men on their efforts and dedication to the sport.
